The Lite Kite is a surfboard that combines all my surfing experience gained over the years with the teachings of my 10-year apprenticeship with George Greenough. It incorporates the principles of edge boards, water manipulation techniques and deep concaves to maximize speed and control.

My goal with this design was to push the limits of hull shaping and explore what's really possible. Every element of the board has been designed to contribute fully to its performance, with perfect synergy between all components to deliver a whole new level of surfing and ultra-engaging glide.

Shape and performance

The board features an elaborate nose entrance leading to two side panels. china and a central concave from nose to tail. These panels china create a Rail Vee which changes from a convex to a concave shape along the entire length of the hull, offering a smoother rail at the bow that blends perfectly with the multi-daggerboard configuration. This unique shape provides a flatter center rocker line for speed and trimIn short, you get the benefits of a flat board for gliding, and a more accentuated rocker when you're on the rail or in a curve. In short, you get both the advantages of a flat board for gliding, and a more accentuated rocker when you're on the rail or in a curve.

Tail design

Most of the Lite Kite feature a wider tail, increasing the planing area and compensating for the multi-daggerboard configuration. The complex contours at the front of the hull offer a large sensitivity underfootThe wider tail balances everything out - the increased width in this key area makes it easier to get in and out of the water unhindered.

Drift design

The set of daggerboards adopts an organic shape, inspired by a sail, with an aerodynamic profile (aerofoil) and an internal concave for laminar flow adhesion. This design perfectly complements the Lite Kitegenerating excellent initial speed. The vertical shape of the daggerboards agility and alertnessespecially on tight bends. Their foil provides a drive and a powerful glidesfor optimum cornering performance.

Bridge and rails

The typical domed bridge S Deck concentrates the foam between the surfer's position and his chest, considerably improving the sensitivity underfoot while making rowing easier. This dome also gives more lever from the water's surface, for a more responsive feel. Foam is also concealed under the rear foot, for a more comfortable slight rebound when pressed, enhancing control when maneuvering. The dome then blends into a contemporary track in Cfor a consistent, reliable performance under various conditions.

Rider Weight: 65kg - 85kg
Notes:Performance-oriented quad for small to good waves. Can serve as a shortboard alternative if shaped with a narrower outline.

2. Lite Kite MID
Tail Options: Swallowtail, Area Diamond Pin
Dimensions: 6’0” - 6’6” x 20” - 22” x 2 1/2” - 3 1/4”
Rider Weight: 65kg - 100kg
Notes: Mid-length performance quad design, suitable for small to medium waves. Can be tailored into a step-up or gun design by adding rocker and narrowing the width.

3. Long Kites
Tail Options: Swallowtail, Area Diamond Pin, Round tail
Dimensions: 6’6” - 7’6” x 21” - 22 1/2” x 2 1/2” - 3 1/4”
Rider Weight: 65kg - 100kg
Notes: Mid-length performance that transitions into a mini-glider (7'0" and above) quad design, suitable for small to medium waves. Can be tailored into a step-up or gun design by adding rocker and narrowing the width.

Tail variants for the Lite Kite :

  • Swallow Tail Reduces the tail surface and slightly straightens the rail line at the rear, generating more power. projection and drive in the wave. A subtle V can be added for more rocker and a tighter curve radius if required.

  • Area Pin Tail Versatile, fluid and predictable, it's ideal for hollow sections. It's a great option for surfers looking for smooth transitions from one rail to the next. Works well with a twinzer configuration.

  • Rounded Square Tail The new Grip: Offers a good compromise, with a slightly straighter rail line. It's predictable, versatile, fast, and retains surface area for better planing and entry speed into small waves. Recommended for boards under 6'6.

  • Velo ARC Tail : Provides excellent projection and driveIt's the perfect choice for smaller, wider shapes, thanks to a straighter rail line, while the arc creates a fluid exit for smooth turns. Perfect for smaller, wider shapes, it excels in the small to medium wavesup to shoulder height.

EPS - EPOXY

stratified in EPS - Epoxy to maximize lightness, buoyancy and shape memory. All with exceptional durability. Advantages for the curious surfer, ultra-reactive board with immediate acceleration, perfect combo - fluid trim - maneuverability at the bottom. Flat center rocker for speed - raised rail rocker for tight turns, aerodynamic quad set for laminar grip in the wave, optimized volume distribution underfoot - pushback in turns.

Squash tail

Black and white line drawing of a parabola with a V-shaped notch at the base, resembling the tail of some surfboards, and two straight lines connecting the sides of the parabola to the lower corners of the notch.

Fish tail

Black outline of a canoe seen from above, showing the narrowness of the bow and stern. Inside, four short, angular lines represent seats or support structures, like surfboard ropes. The image is simple and minimalist.

Thumb quad
